Billing & Refunds
Membership billing, plainly
Flight Outlier remains in authorized private testing. Current private access costs $0 and requires no card. Paid enrollment is not yet being offered.
The sections below describe planned paid membership terms, not current paid access. Creating an account does not enroll you in a subscription or authorize a charge.
Founding plans: US$10 per month, or US$100 per year (two months free versus monthly). The founding rate is locked in for as long as your membership stays active. A charge happens only when you affirmatively enroll through checkout; creating an account is free and never authorizes a charge. Complimentary and invited access continues under its own terms and is not a subscription.
1. Plans, renewal, and the founding-rate lock
- The monthly plan is US$10 and renews automatically every month.
- The annual plan is US$100 and renews automatically every year. That is two months free versus paying monthly.
- Prices are in U.S. dollars. Sales tax or VAT, where it applies to you, is calculated and collected at checkout by our merchant of record.
- The founding rate stays attached to your membership while it remains active. If you cancel and later re-join, the then-current price applies.
- If we ever change the price of an active plan, we will give advance notice by email, and the change will apply from a future renewal at the earliest, never retroactively.
2. Who actually charges you
Checkout and payment are operated by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy is the seller on your receipt and card statement, processes the card, and handles payment security and applicable tax. Flight Outlier never sees or stores your card number. Your checkout is also subject to Lemon Squeezy’s own terms and privacy notice, which are shown at checkout.
3. Cancelling
Cancel anytime, with no calls and no hoops: use the manage-subscription link in any Lemon Squeezy receipt email, or the Lemon Squeezy customer dashboard, or email ryan@flightoutlier.com from your account address and we will cancel it for you.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for: your access continues until that date, and no further renewal is charged. We do not claw back the remainder of a paid period when you cancel.
4. Failed payments
If a renewal charge fails, we keep your access open for a short grace period of about three days while the payment is retried, so a card hiccup never locks you out instantly. If payment still cannot be collected, access pauses until it succeeds; your saved data is not deleted over a billing failure.
5. Refunds
If your first charge did not work out, email ryan@flightoutlier.com within 14 days of it and we will make it right, up to a full refund. For renewal charges, write to us and we will be reasonable, particularly when a renewal was unwanted and unused. Nothing on this page limits a refund, cancellation right, or remedy that applicable law says cannot be waived.
6. Travel and other third-party purchases
Flight Outlier may link to an airline, loyalty program, booking site, travel provider, or other merchant. If you buy or redeem something there, the transaction is with that third party, not Flight Outlier. The third party sets the price and taxes, processes payment, issues the ticket or product, and controls its cancellation, change, refund, and dispute rules.
Flight Outlier may earn affiliate compensation from certain disclosed links. That compensation is paid under our relationship with the affiliate partner; it is not a Flight Outlier charge to your account. Review the destination site’s final price and terms before completing the transaction.
Questions about a travel charge, ticket, cancellation, or refund should first go to the provider shown on your receipt or card statement. Flight Outlier cannot cancel or refund a transaction for which it did not take payment.
7. An unexpected charge
If a statement shows a charge you believe came from Flight Outlier, email ryan@flightoutlier.com with the charge date, amount, currency, and statement descriptor. Do not email a complete card or bank-account number. We will help identify whether the charge came from Flight Outlier’s merchant of record or a third-party provider.
8. Changes to this page
We will update this page when plans, prices, or billing mechanics change, and we will never use an update to retroactively authorize a charge. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version.
9. Billing contact
Send Flight Outlier billing questions to ryan@flightoutlier.com. For a travel-provider purchase, contact the merchant identified on the booking confirmation or payment statement.
